I wear gloves even on the hottest days.you never know when you'll hit the road and you WILL put your hands out on the road surface from instinct as you should anyway to keep you sliding and not tumbling.I saw a motorcycle cop lose it one time in texas and it was about 110 degrees he went sliding down the center line on the tar strip on
his hiney with his feet and hands flat on the road with his bike spinning out ahead of him.When he stopped the seat of his pants,shoe soles and gloves were smoking and he was high stepping because his boot soles were so hot.the only damage appeared to be limited to his clothing and ego.so i always wear gloves.
